Training for EWC delegates

20.12.2024

This year, following the November 2024 plenary session, AXA Group management and the AXA Group European Works Council jointly hosted all EWC delegates and substitutes for a rich 2-day training session addressing 3 topical issues:

  • Domestic and intra-marital violence,
  • Support for employees over the age of 50
  • Cultural differences.

Sarah Barukh: Domestic and intramarital violence

Sarah Barukh shared her personal story and her views on domestic violence and its impact on employees. The presentation raised awareness among delegates and substitutes of ways to help employees in such situations. Sarah's story highlights how long and difficult the process of breaking free can be, and how we all have a role to play.

Cultural differences

Finally, cultural differences and their impact on work and professional relations were explored. Valérie Servant, Associate Partner Change & Culture, enlightened participants on the reasons why certain cultural differences can lead us to disagree.

The session provided an opportunity for employees to understand each other better and to strengthen the cohesion of the European network.
